Today, July 30, we assisted Logan Lake Fire Department with ground and aerial resources. Skimmers and airtankers actioned this fire to support firefighting personnel and heavy equipment. Throughout the day, crews have observed Rank 2 and 3 fire behaviour meaning a surface fire with some open flame, occasional candling, and a slow to moderate rate of spread. Tonight, as visibility allows helicopters equipped with Night Vision Imaging Systems will be assigned for tanking operations. Personnel and heavy equipment will remain onsite overnight.
