Crews are reinforcing machine guard and setting up water delivery systems to support suppression efforts. Danger tree specialists are assessing and falling hazardous trees to keep firefighters working safely. Helicopters are cooling the fire's edge, limiting wildfire spread in support of ground crews. This includes two heavy-lift helicopters that can deliver large, sustained water drops. Public Safety: The fire is visible to travelers along Highway 6 however there are no current impacts to the highway.
